“Problems cannot be solved with the same mindset that created them.”  - Albert Einstein

When it comes to making business decisions how often do you follow your gut feeling? This is not meant to be a trick question. In truth there probably has been a time where when you’ve had to make an important business decision you’ve had a strong feeling regarding that matter.

Whether you want to call it a gut feeling, a sixth sense or a hunch, what you are feeling is your inner voice or intuition. Whatever that 3d human with a red question markfeeling is, you have an immediate understanding of it without having to make a conscious decision about it.

Chances are when you come across these kinds of feelings you do one of 3 things, question them, ignore them or just plain don’t trust them. That is fear talking. When you allow fear to control your decisions you start to over analyze them. This then leads to doubt. Instead of letting fear leave your decision making capabilities in question you should be doing the exact opposite and learn to trust your intuition. This may be hard to do at first because the first thing you want to do is distrust something you are unfamiliar with.

Getting over the distrust of unfamiliar feelings takes time but once you start to understand them the trust will build and you will better understand why a particular feeling comes up. To help you in this process you should start to pay more attention to how and when they show up. The observations and perceptions you have will help you better understand them. As you start to recognize that these initial feeling are something you hold true, you will begin to trust more and more in believing in them.

When you have a feeling that truly resonates within you, you will find that you become very passionate about it and it motivates you to take actions that honors your trust. You will understand the difference between when fear and doubt are trying to dictate your decisions versus when that hunch is something you should go with. The more you hone your intuition skills the more you will be able to make the right decisions for your business without having to second guess them.
